Cyril David

Musician

For more than thirty years, Cyril has felt a deep connection to India. He has spent many periods in Benares, where he trained in sitar and khayal singing under great traditional masters. He speaks Hindi and is steeped in both French and Indian cultures. Indian classical music, based on strict compositional frameworks within which the musician improvises, has trained him in rigorous and intense practice, while allowing him to develop the uniqueness of his style. In France, and particularly in Brittany, he shares his art through numerous concerts, classes, and interdisciplinary projects.

In composing the score for Marcher sur l’or du temps, he combines his music with poetry and theater.
